The
SI-Series is the SCARA-Inverted line. The low profile arms are inverted
from traditional SCARAs as pictured here. The end-effector
is oriented away from the base. This, combined with the Z
motion in the base, allows the arms to fully pass under or pass
over themselves without hitting. Oftentimes, this can free up much-needed
work space and the full pass-under capability provides for efficient
moves unmatched by traditional SCARAs
(Please
see the What is a SCARA page for
a definition of SCARA.) |
