SI-Series Robots

The SI-Series is the SCARA-Inverted line. The low profile arms are inverted from traditional SCARA‘s as pictured here. The end-effector is oriented away from the base. This, combined with the ‘Z’ motion in the base, allows the arms to fully pass under or pass over themselves without hitting. Oftentimes, this can free up much-needed work space and the full pass-under capability provides for efficient moves unmatched by traditional SCARA‘s

(Please see the What is a SCARA page for a definition of SCARA.)

SI-600x100, Overhead Mounting

This arrangement is good for overhead part transfer when mounted upright as shown at left.
