SH-Series Robots
 
The SH-Series robots are based on a 4-axis SCARA arrangement tipped on its side. This configuration is good for many applications including part transfer from a vertical to horizontal plane and machine loading & unloading. Oftentimes this "four is six" series of robot can be used where a 6-axis robot would normally be specified. The base can be mounted on the floor as shown at left, or overhead as shown below left.

The horizontal 'X' motion is available standard in 600, 1200, and 2400 mm travels and is actuated by a direct-drive DC linear servo with zero backlash. Custom lengths to 100' can be engineered if desired. The robot is rated up to 21 kg (46 lb) and comes standard with a 600 or 800 mm reach. Other reaches are available on a special order basis. The low profile arms allow the robot to reach inside peripheral equipment. All service loops are contained within the arm segments and several user cables and hoses are available.
