KiNEDx Robot
KiNEDx
Series: The KiNEDx-Series
of laboratory robots are our standard "off-the-shelf"
Cylindrical coordinate robots. Originally, these tabletop robots
were designed specifically for handling microtitre plates for the
life sciences industry. Because of its unique configuration and
reliability, the arm is now being used in many other applications
as well. The arm requires just a single serial RS-232 line from
a PC and has no external controller. Standard horizontal travel
is 300 mm (11.8") and vertical travel comes in three standard
heights. The payload is rated to 2 kg (4.4 lb) and these robots
are now available with an option for use in cold 4 degree C environments. |

Inverted
KiNEDx Robot
Inverted
KiNEDx: The inverted KiNEDx Robot is
designed for special overhead applications where deck space is limited.
Common applications include inside glove boxes and liquid handlers.
The safety release in the shoulder base is adjusted for use in the
"hanging" configuration. Specifications and options are
the same as the standard KiNEDx described above. |

5-Axis
KiNEDx Robot
5-Axis
KiNEDx: A
5th-axis actuator installed at the wrist of the robot allows the
payload to be tilted and flipped. Common applications include: flipping
plates for re-suspension, shaking or pouring flasks, tilting slides
or plates for reading, etc. Special bracketry
relocates the safety release mechanism on the wrist allowing both
pneumatic and electric servo grippers to be used. The arm requires
just a single serial RS-232 line from a common PC and has no external
controller. Standard horizontal travel is 300 mm (11.8") and
the payload is rated to 2 kg (4.4 lb.) |

Semi-Custom
Robots
SX-Series:
The SX-Semi-Custom-Series
encompasses a wide range of semi-custom robots for OEM applications
needing special payload or environmental considerations. These semi-custom
designs are AC servo robots and use standard off-the-shelf building
blocks. They are based loosely on the 4-axis SCARA concept. Standard
reach is 600 or 800 mm (23.6" or 31.5") and the payload
ranges from 4 kg up to 34kg (9 lb to 75 lb.) |
